Binnies, part of the RSK Group are looking for Graduates from a range of disciplines to work within our Asset Management team. Asset Management encompasses all of the activities to plan and sustain physical infrastructure throughout its whole lifecycle, from concept to disposal. The team includes a broad set of skills that provide consultancy services to the water, transport, industrial and energy sectors in the UK and other global markets

Key responsibilities

As an Asset Management Graduate, you will have the opportunity to rotate between teams, broadening your knowledge and empowering you to build expertise and choose a career path that you are passionate about!

You will be supported in balancing your workload across multiple projects, giving you experience of the wide range of asset management activities Binnies provide across a variety of industries and customers. With appropriate support and supervision, you will deliver packages of work within budget and work schedule to meet project requirements and prepare clear and concise deliverables appropriate for the intended audience. Use your analytical skills to deliver value to clients, enhancing lives, communities, and the environment.

Grow your knowledge of consultancy and be involved in projects at all stages through supporting bids and business development activities, understanding project scope, identifying contractual change, and understanding customer’s basic and performance requirements and measuring success.

You will support Clients through delivery of transformative Capital, Operations and Maintenance projects. You will be involved in activities such as undertaking feasibility assessments, optioneering, evaluating performance, costs and condition of assets, assisting in assessing the effectiveness of existing operational and maintenance activities and identifying and modelling and documenting lifecycle improvements.

Where required, you will have the opportunity to undertake site inspections, and gain hands on experience to support your development and awareness of asset management activities, safety and risk management.

Location is flexible, but you will be expected to attend one of our offices (Redhill or Chester) on a regular basis[GT1] . Person specification

  • Open and enquiring mind and a thirst for new knowledge and experiences
  • Type of degree is less important than the learning you gained to be able to do the following:
  • Numerate and proficient in MS Office tools (Essential) for analysing and managing data sets with supervision and able to produce good quality outputs.
  • Some experience in other analytics or modelling tools and techniques would be advantageous but not essential.
  • An eye for detail and creativity to compile compelling and insightful presentation material.
  • Desire to work proactively towards Chartered membership/professional registration of your preferred Professional Institution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the discipline to deliver quality work with reasonable supervision
  • Can demonstrate good team working ability developed during studies or previous life experience Flexibility to work across multiple disciplines in a dynamic environment and reapply learning to better our deliverables in all sectors.
  • As it will be a predominantly client focused/facing role, candidates should be comfortable with the daily interactions required.
  • Ability to review high levels of data and interpret accordingly to deliver most beneficial outcomes
  • Innovative thinker able to come up with solutions which are pragmatic in terms of time and budget.
