RPS is seeking to recruit an experienced Graduate IT Administrator to join our team in Cork.  This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join an exciting team, build their technical skills and develop a career in IT in a truly Global Technology Team.

Key responsibilities

(Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following):

  •  Provide onsite support as part of team to 100+ engineering/technical staff
  •  Provide remote support to other sites in Ireland/Europe
  •  Autodesk application suite support for technical staff
  •  Roll out of office hardware and software during refresh/upgrade cycles
  •  Video conference and VOIP telephony systems support
  •  Administration of industry standard IT systems
  •  Application and execution of ISO 27001 information security policies and controls throughout the business
  •  Assist in the delivery of IT projects as/when required.
  •  Print systems support

Qualifications/requirements

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification and/or industry certifications such as:
    • ITIL, MCP, MCSA, CCNA, COMPTIA

Skills/experience

1 – 2 years’ experience in at least two of the following:

  •  Desktop support including peripherals
  •  Server support including backup technologies
  •  Network – LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, switching, patching
  •  Security – firewall, AV, encryption
  •  VOIP telephone administration
  •  Azure/O365 administration
  •  Installation and support of client OS and the common application stack

  •  Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  •  Excellent attention to detail
  •  Customer service orientation
  •  Possess an ability to follow/apply established processes and procedures
  •  Must be flexible and work out of hours when needed
  •  Full, clean driving license

  •  Must be a team player willing to share their knowledge and learn from others
  •  Ability to work on own initiative
  •  Takes ownerships of tasks through to completion
  •  Must be willing to learn, willing to develop technical skillset and achieve certification in relevant technologies
