This role is within the Wakehurst, Visitor Experience & Commercial Team, responsible for ensuring a seamless, consistent, and high-quality experience for all visitors to Wakehurst as well as being directly responsible for commercial growth.
The role
Working as part of the Plant Centre team you will ensure that the Plant Centre is well stocked and presentable, maintaining plant health and quality. Ensuring signage is up to date and informative and reflects the brand and values of RBG Kew.
Reporting into the Plant Centre Manager, this role will be accountable for ensuring high standards of customer service and presentation are maintained as well as driving sales to ensure that income and KPI targets are delivered.
About you
Experience of working within a horticultural or garden retail environment with good knowledge of plants and gardening to confidently provide the best advice as expected by our Customers from RBG Employees. The role is based outside during all-weather, so previous experience of a similar work environment is desirable. Proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently using own initiative, Practical experience of working in a fast paced, front-line customer focused environment.
