    About the role

    12-Month Placement. We’re looking for a Product Design Intern to work on our streaming TV design system. In this role, you will be mentored by a senior UX product designer and collaborate with other designers, writers, and engineers.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Support Roku's design system for its streaming TV UI.
    • Collect design system requirements from product teams.
    • Document UI patterns and best practices in a style guide.
    • Contribute to the Figma design system library.
    • Communicate changes to product stakeholders.
    • Tackle small, focused design projects to address systemic UX debt.

    We are excited if you have

    • Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
    • Due to graduate in December 2026 or later
    • Familiarity and interest in design systems.
    • Interest in streaming TV.
    • Strong verbal skills with the ability to influence without authority.
    • Strong written skills as demonstrated in design style guides, product requirements, or specifications.
    • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently with remote supervision.
    • Focus on shared outcomes rather than personal credit.
    • Experience working with Figma.
    • Endless empathy for the user.
