The position

We aspire to be a leading edge Clinical Operations organization that drives innovative patient inclusive approaches in study design and execution, utilizes advanced analytics to make data-driven decisions, and embeds innovative technologies into our ways of working to deliver programs and studies which in turn support delivering on our North Star to increase R&D Productivity and Patient inclusivity. Students joining Roche will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to support development and execution of operational strategies to recruit/retain patients and manage study data for early phase clinical studies worldwide.

The intern will be involved in the following activities:

  • Provides logistical support to a multi-disciplinary team which oversees early phase clinical study activities across a range of disease therapeutic areas
  • Develops, maintains and manages appropriate study documentation
  • Sets-up and maintains Trial Master Files in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure requirements
  • Organizes and maintains tracking systems and tools to support the clinical study from planning through to post close-out activities.
  • Coordinates communication of tracking information within the multidisciplinary team and to the study sites as required
  • Manages and tracks:
    • clinical / non-clinical supplies
    • patient recruitment
    • study metrics
  • Coordinates and manages meetings with investigator sites, site monitor’s, including preparing meeting materials and coordinates and manages meetings with service providers/vendors
  • Collaborates with Study Leaders on the development of study-specific plans and/or processes
  • Supports pRED Clinical Operations Clusters on activities related to remit of the group in support of our north star.
  • May support departmental initiatives
  • May support Welwyn site-wide initiatives, thereby collaborating across different functional departments

About you

Applicants should be in the penultimate or last year of study, at the “Year in Industry” junction of their studies. To be successful in this opportunity, applicants should also have:
