About the role

Put your academic knowledge into practice and get work-ready before you graduate. With a placement suited to your area of interest, over 12 weeks you can dive right into some of our business challenges, collaborate on projects and learn from industry experts. As a Summer Intern - Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing.
  • Preparing and sending out of Sub-contract enquires.
  • Subcontract comparison and preparation of subcontract agreements.
  • Attending, contributing to and taking minutes of meetings as required.
  • Preparing Valuations with Client’s, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued.
  • Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings.

What you'll need

  • 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate within a related degree
  • The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure

About you

As a Summer Intern - Quantity Surveyor we understand this may be one of your first roles so we’re looking for someone who is working towards a BA Hons/BSc/MSc degree and is ambitious, collaborative and determined to make a positive impact – a great fit for Team Robertson.
