We are recruiting a Graduate Transport Planner to join our growing Transport Planning team. This role will suit someone with strong numeric, analytical and written skills who is willing to solve problems that arise across various exciting projects working as part of our dynamic and fun team.

Role and responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of transport assessments, travel plans, feasibility studies and other technical reports and presentations
  • Use of industry leading computer-aided design and assessment packages such as: Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, GIS, and modelling packages (inc. Junctions 10, LinSig and VISSIM)
  • Conduct traffic and transport data analysis using industry-standard software
  • Support the development of transport models/simulations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated transport solutions
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to gather requirements and provide updates

Experience and skills required

To be considered for this role you must be able to evidence

  • Degree in transport planning related/numeric subject (eg: Transport Planning/Engineering, Mathematics, Geography, Civil Engineering) or equivalent
  • Competency using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project
  • Experience in transport planning, AutoCAD, and GIS software would be beneficial (eg TRICS, Junctions 10, LinSig, etc)

Personal attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A keen interest in sustainable transport and urban/ town planning
  • Full current driving licence (desirable)
