Life as a design intern
The Design Intern will be a part of the Design Center team and assigned to multiple design and or production related tasks, but their main responsibility in the Creative Department is to learn. Be that knowledge sponge and soak up all you can from the talented staff that will surround you. We will test your skills in Adobe, and Microsoft PowerPoint, as well as your ability to “create” on the fly, utilizing all those creative skills you’re just beginning to hone. You will collaborate across multiple brand teams as it relates to design and execute assigned projects working under a deadline. In other words, this is your chance to grab a front row seat in experiencing the life and world of a Graphic Designer.
The non-negotiables for design intern
Otherwise known as the “essential functions”, these are the parts of the job that a crucial to successful performance.
- Enrolled in an accredited University with a focus on Graphic Design and/or ability to demonstrate design skills
- Create, design and enhance marketing and/or advertising materials for electronic and print deliverables
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrate flexibility during ideation sessions, and think creatively
- Possess a strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
- Possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint)
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by supervisor

Travel and worksite expectations
Below are the working conditions (physical requirements, travel obligations and worksite expectations) required for this role.
- Work schedule/hours: Approximately 20 hours/ week
- This position requires occasional nonstandard work hours (up to 20%) in accordance with project needs, deadlines, deliverables, and urgent client requests
