Opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our growing, multidisciplinary team in Bristol, BS1 4UA, in autumn 2025.

Civil Engineers design vital infrastructure to support and maintain sustainable development, the built environment and the modern world. Our team collaborate across drainage, infrastructure, highway design, in all sectors of development, across the UK, on projects like our recent work designing natural flood management schemes in Gloucestershire.

We are a great place to learn, with a strong team and a diverse portfolio of projects to practice and hone your skills, and support you through Chartership, including close support from a colleague Supervising Civil Engineer to mentor you through an ICE Training Scheme to complete your initial professional development. We operate as integrated designers alongside our colleagues in other disciplines such as Transport and Water Environment, and as a standalone service.

What you will do

Your day-to-day as a Graduate Civil Engineer with us will include (with the guidance and support of colleagues):

  • Preparing drainage strategies and engineering reports to support planning applications.
  • Preparing technical drawings such as highway designs, drainage and external works designs, ground modelling, S104, S278 and S38 drawings.
  • Obtaining information, such as drawings and utility searches from third parties.
  • Undertaking site visits with colleagues.
  • Following best practice company drawing and design standards and staying abreast of the latest design codes/standards.

What we are looking for in our next intake of Graduate Civil Engineers

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering and predicted to achieve a 2:1 grade or above
  • Demonstrate and articulate your talent and motivation to become a Civil Engineer
  • Engaged by and believe in our values and show this through your behaviour (see values graphic on our Careers page)
  • The Right to Work in the UK indefinitely (we are unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future)
