On our Financial Services - Risk Business, Risk and Controls programme, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across the Banking, Insurance and Asset & Wealth management sectors.The world is becoming increasingly complex, technology is disrupting almost every aspect of how organisations operate, and the pace of change is unprecedented.

Organisations have to be more aware of, and responsive to, the risks and opportunities facing them. Governance, risk and controls is a board level topic and offers a diverse and purposeful career. In the initial years of the Financial Services - Business, Risk and Controls pathway you'll be deeply involved in understanding and assessing a client’s business from a financial, regulatory and operational risk perspective and identifying the related mitigation techniques needed to ensure the business strategy can be successful and resilient.

What you'll do

You'll work in teams with a culture of support and development that means you’ll benefit from working alongside highly experienced professionals and get insight on how organisations operate. You'll build your own professional disciplines and expertise; learning how to provide advice and assurance to Boards and Executive teams while also assessing and implementing risk, regulatory and reporting strategies across the 3 lines of defence.You'll benefit from a training programme created by our learning and development specialists. What you get out of it is the opportunity to build the skills and experience you need to grow your career as a risk specialist.

Within Financial Services Business Risk & Controls you will have the opportunity to experience different areas of our practice and all three industry sectors, Insurance, Banking and Asset Wealth Management, which will include being part of projects in resilience, change, internal audit, conduct regulation and prudential regulation. Working across our practice will provide you with a broad and agile skill set which is fundamental to the growth of our business.

As a graduate you will be studying towards your Chartered Accountancy qualification​ with the option to review whether you wish to continue your studies after the first year. This will be in addition to benefiting from a training programme created by our learning and development specialists.

Graduate offers will be for the same office and business area in which you completed your internship.

What you'll need

To be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree; or in your final year of an undergraduate degree with a one year postgraduate place confirmed; and you'll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.

When to apply

Assessment centres for this role will take place between 18 December 2023 - 28 January 2024 or 19 February - 4 March 2024. We expect to be able to give you at least a week's notice to attend.
