Department summary

The Planning team at Starcom build relationships with clients, partners, and internal and external colleagues within our Groupe to deliver powerful work that will grow our clients’ businesses. Our goal is to become our clients’ most indispensable partners by building roadmaps with them that will identify quickest paths to growth. We work most closely with our Strategy, DDT, Investment and Performance teams to ensure smooth management of the business overall. 

Visa is the agency’s flagship fintech client, leading the pact with approximately $21 billion in revenue. Their position means that they want to be set up to deliver innovative, forward-thinking communications strategies on a platform of proven media success. They are a leader in their industry and want to be seen as such, with large key initiatives/partnerships, driving Women in Football, the Olympics, FIFA as well as supporting small businesses within local communities.

Visa Inc. is a global payments technology company that connects consumers, businesses, financial institutions and governments in more than 200 countries and territories to fast, secure and reliable electronic payments.

What will you be doing?

  • Liaise, support and work with our UK and European markets to deliver digital-first media planning & buying recommendations based on insight development and audience understanding.
  • You will be translating client briefs into communications and media objectives. You will be in regular contact with the central and local teams, leveraging and sharing local market expertise and learnings across markets.
  • Provide reports and reviews of new media opportunities and relevant consumer insight.
  • Deliver reports on the status of media plans to Account Manager and Visa.
  • Contributing to high level meetings with exposure to senior clients and partner agencies.
  • Build strong working relationship with counterparts in the local Starcom EU markets.
  • Support the Manager in their day-to-day tasks on media planning, administration and coordination.
  • Ownership of managing and updating internal platforms essential for the day-to-day business on the Visa account.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Good expertise in working with Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Interest in digital media, content strategy and measurement;
  • An interest in how digital channels can work alongside other media;
  • Strong communicator both verbal and written and team player;
  • Good project coordination skills and ability to set and implement effective project plans and timelines;
  • Problem solver who learns from mistakes and is looking for new approaches and solutions in addressing issues;
  • Meaningful contributor to deliver best-in-class work to clients and teams;
  • An interest in data and consumer understanding and a thirst for innovation, driving the ability to discover and distil new opportunities into relevant, viable and actionable ideas and solutions that will deliver stronger communications for our clients.
