We are delighted to now be recruiting for our Commercial Finance Graduate Scheme with a start date in September 2025. 

The Prax Group is an international conglomerate in the upstream, midstream and downstream energy sector.  Prax is an exciting and dynamic company on a fast growth trajectory both organically and externally.  With activities across commodities trading, exploration & production, oil refining, storage, wholesale distribution, aviation, marine and retail, the financing structure of Prax is very diverse.

The Global Commercial Finance team brings together all aspects of purchase to pay, order to cash, record to report, credit risk and market risk activities to support the Prax Group. This scheme will provide graduates the opportunity to rotate through each of the activities to ensure they will gain a solid understanding of how an international conglomerate executes its financial operations.

Graduates will also have the opportunity to visit a number of our locations throughout the UK including London, Surrey, Jarrow and the Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery in Immingham.

We are looking for a driven and ambitious Graduate to join our team.

To be successful you will

  • Be on track or have achieved, a 2:1 degree (or higher) in any subject, but are looking to pursue a career in Finance/Accounting
  • You will possess good problem-solving skills and thrive under the challenge of doing so
  • Have an inquisitive and forward-thinking mindset, who is always looking to learn and develop
  • Be numerate and analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Possess the ability to communicate confidently and effectively across all levels
  • Good understanding of financial modelling
  • Have strong Excel skills and familiarity with all MS applications (Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be working towards or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree, graduating in 2025 or the previous 2 years.

Recruitment process

The closing date for all Prax Graduate Scheme applications is 31st December 2024.

After applications are closed, successful applicants will proceed to the next stage in the recruitment process, which will be a pre-recorded video interview.

The third, and final stage, of the recruitment process will be an in-person interview at one of our offices. Depending on the role you have applied for, you may be asked to prepare a short presentation for the interview.
