The EHS Department now requires an Environmental Intern to join the team.
The successful candidate will enjoy working on multiple large-scale pharmaceutical projects in the Irish and international markets. The role is both office and site based. Depending on the successful candidates’ preference, this opportunity can be permanent or on a contract basis. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have the following experience:
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will gain experience in a number of the following areas:
- Environmental Impact Assessments
- Environmental Risk Assessments
- Permitting and Licence Applications
- Air Dispersion Modelling
- Environmental Noise Modelling
- Construction Environmental Management & Monitoring Programmes
- Waste Management
- Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
Key responsibilities include
- Perform work in compliance with PM Group’s Quality Management System
- Demonstrate knowledge of PM Group and/or industry standard methodologies and tools
- Carry out site visits / site surveys
- Interact and communicate with own department, other departments, project team members, clients and other external parties to ensure co-ordination of activities
Personal specification
- Strong work ethic
- Good communications skills both verbal and written and ability to work within a multi-discipline team environment
- Ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines
Qualifications
- Completing a degree in Engineering or Science, preferably Chemical/Environmental Science or Engineering
- Good knowledge and understanding of environmental legislation and EU BAT/BREF
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and their practical application to industry
- Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with internal (company teams and management) and external parties (industries, communities and regulatory agencies).
