Scheme overview  

Renishaw offers exciting opportunities for graduates within our Manufacturing Services Division. The graduate development programme for Manufacturing Engineers aims to develop talented graduates into the skilled technical experts and managers required to grow and advance our manufacturing organisation.    

What will I gain from this graduate scheme?    

  • Length: 2.5 years 
  • Placements: 5, 6-month rotations  

Placements and projects will be aligned to your ambitions and always involve work on real activities and projects delivering tangible business benefits. The scheme will prepare you for a meaningful role within our division upon completion, by which time you will be possess both strong technical and core enabling skills. By investing in and supporting your personal development, we will build up and broaden your knowledge and experience to create a confident and highly capable professional.      

What type of things will I be working on?  

The Manufacturing Mechanical scheme encompasses high-precision, complex component manufacturing, precision electro / mechanical / optical assembly, digitisation, automation / robotics, and the development of entirely new and innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.   

Engineering experience will be gained in: 

  • Process improvement 
  • New product introduction 
  • Project engineering 
  • Supply chain engineering 
  • Operational management 

Renishaw’s manufacturing and associated engineering takes place in a challenging, high variety, high complexity, rapidly changing environment.   

What career opportunities are available?  

Based on specific performance areas, personal preferences, and business requirements, there will be opportunities within: 

  • Assembly Engineering 
  • Project Engineering 
  • Process Development Engineering (including Automation, Robotics. and Mechatronics)

Where will I be working?   

We run schemes at our sites in Gloucestershire (with some possible business need / preference rotations to Miskin, South Wales). 

  • Renishaw is in a semi-rural location therefore it is essential that you have your own form of transport or are willing to relocate to the area 
  • Hybrid working options available, role-dependent
