Job overview

We are looking for a proactive and creative Internal Communications Coordinator to support the development and implementation of an effective internal communications strategy.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a passion for communications and an interest in working within the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving employee engagement, ensuring clear and consistent messaging, and fostering a positive company culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Assist in the execution of a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Content Creation: Develop engaging content for various internal channels, including internal notices, e-newsletters, intranet, emails, and digital screens.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and coordinate internal communication campaigns to support company initiatives and activations.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a sense of community and engagement among employees by organising and promoting internal events, surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with different departments to gather relevant information and ensure consistent messaging across the organisation.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of internal communication efforts, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement to an existing working Internal Communications group.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of internal communication policies and best practices.

What we're looking for

As an integral part of the team, we require the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations, English (essential), or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with communication tools such as intranets, email marketing software, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to use Adobe Suite to edit images and / or video content is desirable.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous experience or placement in internal communications or related fields is a plus.
  • Comfortable with adapting to and driving change.
  • Must be prepared to travel, as and when required, to Pirelli UK sites in addition to Burton (Carlisle, Didcot).
  • A full clean driving licence is essential.
