pinewood.ai currently has an exciting opportunity for motivated and forward-thinking Business students to join our placement scheme, starting in Summer 2025!
During your placement year, you’ll be given the responsibility you need to thrive and make an impact from day one. Based at our office on Birmingham Business Park, you will spend 12 months gaining exposure to the ever-growing world of technology and expanding your knowledge across different areas of the business.

What to expect
We offer lots of support and a structured learning plan to ensure you gain all the skills you need to succeed with us. So, what will your placement year look like?
- We will kickstart the scheme with an initial four-week business induction and training schedule. You will meet key people across the business, build relationships with your mentors, and receive in-depth training on our product and customer base
- Upon completion of the induction, you will spend 4 months working as a Customer Support Consultant where you will work directly with our customers to ensure they are getting the best experience of Pinewood. You will assist with any training needs, queries or issues
- Following your time in Customer Support, you will then undertake 2 additional rotations in a team of your choice to gain exposure to multiple areas of the business
- Alongside this, you will have a Placement Achievement Plan to guide you through the year and ensure you are consistently learning and developing your skills
- You will also have the opportunity to take ownership of projects such as presentations, dealership visits, and company social events

About you
We don’t expect our placement students to know everything. We look out for a motivated mindset, a positive can-do attitude and solid communication skills. As long as you have a genuine desire to learn and develop your skillset, we want to support you in achieving your goals. You will also need:
- To be a 2nd year university student studying a Business or IT related degree
- A strong interest in developing a career within a business or IT focused role
- To be a people person with the ability to communicate and build relationships with both customers and colleagues across the business
- A strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude to learning and a desire to develop your personal and professional skills

pinewood.ai was established in 1981, with our head office based in Birmingham, UK. We offer a cloud-based solution for retailers in the global automotive sector. Our solution allows automotive retailers to work more efficiently and assists them with providing a high standard of customer service, resulting in higher profits.
