The role
As a Graduate Cost Manager, you will play a critical role in assisting the cost management team with the preparation of cost estimates, comprehensive cost plans and precise tender documents. This exciting opportunity will immerse you in a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from 1 - 500 million; encompassing diverse sectors such as commercial, residential, education and healthcare; for both public and private sector clients.

The Springboard program is an intensive 6-month journey designed to accelerate your professional development within the industry. Through a series of three full-day workshops, you will be immersed in a culture of peer support within our vibrant graduate community, while engaging in experiential learning activities aimed at driving meaningful transformation and growth. You will also gain access to a bespoke Learning and Development calendar, specifically designed to facilitate your seamless integration into Pick Everard and equip you with essential modern business skills essential for excelling in your new role.
This foundation of structured support extends to technical training and continuous professional development, while also fostering reflective skills crucial to your chartership journey. As you progress towards achieving chartership, our commitment to your success is evident through the provision of discipline-specific mentors who offer invaluable guidance and support as you work towards professional accreditation.
It is important that you either already have or are working towards completing a RICS-accredited degree or a RICS-accredited master's conversion course. You will be working towards obtaining professional membership of a professional association, with full funding and support from us, through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
About you
Our ideal Graduate Cost Manager must have:
- Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:1 degree or above in Quantity Surveying or a related subject.
- A professional attitude, providing you with the ability to effectively liaise with clients
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A strong interest and desire to work within the Construction industry
It would be nice for you to have:
- An interest in looking to work towards achieving chartership
- The ability to work effectively in a team to achieve a common goal
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
