Our graduate scheme

We are passionate about providing early pathways into pharma for graduates and have won the Pharma Industry Awards UK’s Graduate Training Programme of the Year in September 2023. This award celebrates those pharmaceutical organisations offering best-in-class graduate training and development programmes.

Our inclusive, high-performance culture provides opportunities to continually learn, develop and try new things. We have designed this programme to help graduates evolve and refine their skills, by working closely with our leadership team on high level projects. We are providing a pathway for bright talent in a unique, dynamic section of the pharmaceutical industry.

During this two-year programme you will have the opportunity to get real hands-on experience and contribute to large-scale real-world pharmaceutical projects. At the end of the successful completion of our scheme, you will have strong employment prospects as we hope to be able to offer you the chance to secure a full-time role with our brightest minds, in a department that will keep developing your career.

The role

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious graduate to join our Strategic Marketing & Commercial Excellence team at Pharmanovia. This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the Vice President of Strategic Marketing & Commercial Excellence, gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of marketing strategy, sales effectiveness, and customer engagement in the pharmaceutical industry.

As part of this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with global brand managers, local marketing teams, sales leaders, and country managers to ensure the effective delivery of our brand messages to healthcare professionals (HCPs) through a diverse range of engagement channels. You will develop a deep understanding of our brand planning processes, analyse customer insights to shape data-driven strategies, and support the development of tailored commercial plans at the local level.

This position offers exposure to a breadth of critical areas including marketing campaign development, omnichannel engagement, learning and development programmes, data analytics, and stakeholder management. You will also play a key role in coordinating efforts between central functions and in-country teams, ensuring alignment on goals and strategies while adapting to diverse customer needs and preferences.

You will be able to think strategically and have excellent analytical skills, as this role will require a strategic approach to working, as well as an ability to drive tactical execution of programmes. You’ll be eager to solve problems and challenges, identify opportunities, think critically when analysing data and data sources and compile useful overviews of data and intel. You will be proactive and can take on tasks independently, applying good time management and prioritising skills. You will need to be able to be flexible and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

The 2-year Graduate scheme will also offer significant development opportunities, so if you are a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a passion for pharmaceutical marketing, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building a solid foundation for a rewarding career in pharmaceutical marketing.

What you’ll be involved in

Depending on the priorities at the time the role will support new launches, key strategies and programmes that enable our delivery of omnichannel engagement with HCPs. Some key areas that will likely be a focus are:

  • Collaborating with global brand managers and local marketing teams to support the development and execution of brand strategies and campaigns
  • Assisting in implementing omnichannel engagement plans to deliver impactful brand messages to HCPs, aligned with customer preferences
  • Analysing customer data and market insights to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, providing recommendations to optimise engagement strategies
  • Supporting the annual brand planning process, including coordinating inputs from central and local teams and ensuring alignment with commercial objectives
  • Partnering with sales teams, including country managers and field sales representatives, to integrate marketing initiatives into local commercial plans effectively
  • Monitoring the performance of marketing campaigns and engagement strategies, preparing reports and analysis for senior leadership
  • Acting as a liaison between central and local teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of priorities
  • Assisting in the creation of promotional materials and digital content tailored to regional market needs
  • Supporting the coordination of workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to build capabilities across marketing and sales teams
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, digital innovations, and regulatory guidelines to enhance the effectiveness of marketing and commercial strategies

The department has an ethos of continuous improvement, refining systems and creating efficiencies. This, along with the rapid growth of the business, leads to a varied and dynamic working environment.

About you

  • On track to achieve a minimum 2.1 degree in life sciences, business or marketing
  • Experience in a marketing or pharmaceutical environment is a plus, but not essential
