What we offer
Our Strategic Analytics Data Science Internship Programme is a 1-year placement designed to provide undergraduate students with hands-on experience in the field of data science.
This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of data, working on tasks ranging from exploratory data analysis and data cleaning to modelling and visualizations. You’ll gain exposure to the entire data analytics process, including cloud-based solutions.
Should you be successful in your application, you will get support and training to strengthen your already established technical skills, whilst also getting stuck-in with real project work. You will be a valued member of a team, which strives to deliver exceptional levels of professionalism.
What we're looking for
We are looking for talented, ambitious and hard-working undergraduate students to join our Strategic Analytics team in our London office for a year-long placement. Strategic Analytics is a global team tasked with advancing the use of novel data sources and modelling techniques to innovate the way reinsurance happens. To excel in our Internship Programme, you should possess the following qualities:
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse data.
- Basic proficiency in Python and/or R (SQL experience a plus).
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Minimum requirements
To be eligible for our programme, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- An A grade in any A-level STEM subject.
- A predicted 2:1 grade in a STEM undergraduate degree or any subject that includes data analysis and/or statistics (e.g. Economics)
