About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Finance Business Partner to join the Howden team.

In this role, you will proactively support the business unit managers, driving performance improvement through clearly presented financials and analysis. You will maintain a dialogue on costs with a questioning approach and support the completion of accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets in line with deadlines.

Additionally, you will assist in developing and delivering KPIs, and support other areas of finance, including statutory accounts preparation, VAT returns and audit support.

If you are detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop your finance career in a commercial environment, we want to hear from you.

PA Media Group will offer a fully supported study package and a peer group of colleagues studying for professional qualifications for support.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have the desire to develop strong business and commercial finance acumen and already have excellent communication skills that enable you to convey complex financial information clearly and effectively.

You will be results-oriented, with good decision-making skills and self-confidence, allowing you to take responsibility and ownership of workloads and information distributed outside the finance team. Your flexible and adaptable nature will help you thrive in a dynamic environment, and your proactive approach will ensure you are always one step ahead in supporting the business unit managers.

As a team player who is self-motivated, you will work collaboratively to drive performance improvements and deliver clear, analytical managerial information.

You should have a part-qualified professional membership with CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.

Strong analytical skills are essential, enabling you to support accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets, and contribute to the development and delivery of KPIs.
