Teamworking for the planet

Everything we do here spins around Plan Zero. So, naturally, the team you'll be joining plays a gigantic role in making that happen. This role touches various creative, commercial and reputation areas of the business, and you'll have exposure to and work with key OVO functions including our Studio, Brand, Advertising, Marketing, Commercial, and wider Corporate Affairs teams - supporting OVO's overall corporate affairs, brand and marketing strategy.

This role 

In this role, you'll be supporting the day-to-day function of OVO's social media team, helping communicate the OVO brand, products and campaigns through engaging content that helps grow our social media presence and support our customers.

This will include working with our in-house teams and social media agencies to support the creation of monthly content calendars, influencer content and campaigns, daily community management, and reporting.

Your key outcomes will be

  • In collaboration with the Social Media Manager and Studio, you'll help identify, plan and create monthly social media content - with an eye for spotting content opportunities and integrating trends into our BAU output.
  • You'll have an understanding of social media metrics to help monitor content performance, and help us track and implement learnings and recommendations to improve our output.
  • You'll be fascinated with social media culture, and enthusiastic about translating messaging into effective, entertaining and engaging content for an online audience. You'll understand the language of social media - particularly reels and video - and have ideas for how we can leverage our internal teams and products to create content that resonates with our customers.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day posting and platform management of OVO's social media accounts, and supporting the smooth-running of the team to help us meet objectives and grow our channels and community. This includes working with our agencies to execute influencer marketing campaigns and special content projects.
  • Have an understanding of what good community management and customer service on social media looks like, and will work closely with the Care team to identify customers needing support.
  • Work in-step with our in-house Studio and designers to create engaging social content - managing the end-to-end planning and production with our Social Media Manager
  • On occasion, you'll be required to work out of hours as part of the Communications & Social team rota

About you

You'll be a successful Social Media & Influencer Executive here at OVO if you:

  • Are a creative thinker with a keen eye for what's new in the social space including trends, editing styles and content formats
  • Have excellent writing and verbal communication skills and feel confident raising new ideas
  • Are highly responsive and proactive in everything you do
  • Have experience of working in a social media team either in-house or at an agency
  • Have experience managing the posting, scheduling and content calendars for multiple social media accounts
  • Have an understanding that social media is part science, part gut - and feel confident coming up with new ideas to help drive our social media strategy
  • Have a knack for creating native-to-platforms video content (eg filmed on iPhone)
  • Admire or have experience working with brands that have cultivated a strong online community

What's in it for you

We'll pay you between £24,060 and £30,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!

You'll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
