We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Civil Engineer to join our design team. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects, focusing on network systems, substations, battery storage facilities, and large-scale solar farms. Duties and responsibilities

  • Design Development: Assist in creating detailed civil engineering designs, including layouts for substations, battery storage facilities, and solar farms. Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to inform project designs. Prepare design drawings, specifications, and calculations in line with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project delivery. Support in the preparation of technical reports, design documents, and cost estimates.
  • Technical Assurance: Ensure designs comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as relevant local regulations and codes. Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to optimise solutions.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Incorporate innovative and sustainable design principles into projects to meet client and environmental objectives.
  • Continuous Development: Engage in training and development programs to build expertise in civil design and renewable energy projects.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of structural and geotechnical principles relevant to infrastructure design.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with renewable energy projects (e.g., solar farms, energy storage).
  • Understanding of drainage, foundation design, or roadworks.
  • Experience with 3D modelling and Building Information Modelling (BIM).
