Overview of the department

Nuveen Technology is responsible for the support, maintenance and development of business systems and the infrastructure on which they are hosted for EMEA and APAC users. The Technology team cover a wide range of activities including, but not limited to, resolving day-to-day Technology issues, maintaining data security, developing applications for business use, and supporting hardware.

Summer internship opportunities

  • Support technology and data team delivery
  • Attend and contribute at team meetings and workshops to better understand the Technology product development process at Nuveen
  • Understand the business problem and discuss/document technology solution artifacts (Technology diagrams, Data mapping etc.)

What we’re looking for

  • Academic Excellence: On track for at least a 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Security or Information Technology
  • A demonstrated passion for technology: within financial services preferably investment management
  • Excellence: Examples of professional & personal commitment to excellence
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: A strategic approach, sound business judgment and an entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Must be competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Data: An interest in data and how data can be leveraged for business value
  • AI: an understanding of the AI technology landscape, different AI implementation use cases and a willingness to learn

  • We will only consider students in their penultimate year graduating in 2026.
