Who are Gresham Quant?
Gresham Quant (GQ) is a small, entrepreneurial and collegial team, focused on high performance. GQ is responsible for the multi-award-winning systematic CTA strategy ‘ACAR’, now managing around $1.5bio. Alongside this we have a new systematic fixed income product, trading a variety of instruments.

Summer internship opportunities
Systematic Trading: The team develops and maintains a sophisticated systematic trading system, which you would work on and contribute to. You would also be involved in research discussions regarding our strategy and have opportunities to learn about the strategy.
Python Codebase: You'll primarily work on our Python codebase.
Data Analysis and Visualisation: You'll likely work on our data visualisation portal using JavaScript/React, analysing simulation and trade data to enhance strategy monitoring.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the GQ team to understand requirements and data needs and assist with implementation.

What we’re looking for
- Academic Excellence: On track for at least a 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree or above in hard sciences, engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
- Python Skills: Familiarity with Python and its associated libraries, as well as the numerical libraries e.g. Pandas, Numpy.
- Coding Experience: Experience with a Python coding project, either through coursework or personal projects.
- Database Knowledge: Some experience with databases and SQL.
- Best Practices: Appreciation of best coding practices and version control.
- Project Ownership: Drive to deliver work from start to finish and take ownership of issues.
- Clear Coding: Ability to write clear, understandable code.
- Team Player: Openness and honesty with the team, and willingness to ask for help when needed.
- Interest in Trading: Interest in systematic trading and a desire to learn more about the business.
