What is the Global Client Group?
The Global Client Group (GCG) handles Distribution, Consultant Relations, Relationship Management, Product Development, Client Servicing, and Learning & Development. Their goal is to deliver a seamless ‘One Nuveen’ experience to clients worldwide. GCG focuses on building new relationships within the Institutional and Wealth channels while strengthening ties with existing clients. Nuveen targets the largest sources of investment capital globally. The team is international, with a presence in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.
The intern in GCG will have the opportunity to
- Territory Management & Sales Strategy: Understand and contribute to the distribution team’s territory management and sales strategy.
- Product Pitches & Client Calls: Get involved in product pitches and client review calls; identify and compile necessary follow-up items.
- CRM System Maintenance: Maintain and review our customer relationship management (CRM) system, including daily activity updates and participating in projects to improve data quality.

What we're looking for
- Academic Excellence: On track for at least a 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree (or equivalent) preferably a major in finance, business mathematics, business administration or similar .
- Relationship Management: A strong desire to build a career in a client-facing role, you must be able to demonstrate examples of building and managing relationships.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication.
- Team Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to grasp investment decisions and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Strong competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook);
