What is Nuveen Equity and Fixed Income
Nuveen Equities and Fixed Income (NEFI) team manages local market investments in over 60 EMEA & Developed countries for all of TIAA Investment’s & Nuveen Asset Management’s Public Fixed Income portfolios approximating $431 billion assets.
The intern will have the opportunity to get exposure to the NEFI Investment & Trading desks as well as the operations team.
Summer Internship Opportunities:
- Academic/ internship background in accounting, company analysis, quantitative methods, economics and fixed income.
- Basic project experience in Python, excel, VBA and other programming skills.
- Background in macroeconomics analysis and demonstration of interest in financial markets. Self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and multitask.

What We’re Looking For:
- Academic Excellence: On track for at least a 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
- Interest in Investment Management: Preferably within Fixed Income

- Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication.
- Team Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to analytically comprehend investment, as well as an entrepreneurial mind-set.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Strong competency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & advanced in Excel); and/or experience with analytics such as VBA is desirable
