This role will support the Kidswear girls knitwear team. The team design and develop new ranges, taking responsibility for everything from trend prediction to design concept through to technical development and product selection.
About the role
- Helping with CADs for knit designs on photoshop and illustrator
- Assisting with the setup of meetings.
- Assisting with trend and design research.
- Sample shopping for inspiration and initiating shop reports.
- Provide administrative support to the Design Team, taking responsibility for tasks such as day to day department requests.
- Working on design packs for knitwear to send out to factories, under the designers guidance.
About you
- Strong communication skills, you will be capable of working well with other teams and building productive relationships.
- Great organisation skills, you will be prepared to assist with setting up for meetings and organising sample rails.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Strong illustration and photoshop skills.
- Strong interest in fashion and awareness of trends.
- Knitwear degree or a fashion course with a knitwear specialisation
Specific skills/qualifications & requirements
- Recently graduated with a degree in Knitwear, Textile Design, Fashion Design or similar discipline.
- Intermediate user of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat programs.
- Understanding of measuring garments and tech packing.
