Position summary

We’re on the lookout for a passionate Graphic Design student in their final or penultimate year at university to join our Front-End Innovation team at our Nestlé Product Technology Centre Confectionery (NPTC). You’ll be a motivated and collaborative individual who will support all elements of design; from understanding consumers, to exploring new trends, to brainstorming new and marvellous confectionery creations.

A little bit about us

NPTC Confectionery, York is Nestlé’s leading centre for confectionery Research & Development, working in partnership with 3 development centres in Chile, China, and Ivory Coast. In York we are a team of 170 amazing people from over 30 nationalities and a variety of academic backgrounds. 

A day in the life of a Graphic Designer   

  • Work with brands such as KitKat, Aero & After Eight (just to name a few) 
  • Bring ideas to life with stunning visualisation via digital mock-ups and artworks
  • Be our content creator (designing and editing marketing communications)
  • Get hands on with prototyping (print media, 3-D printing, and packaging)
  • Design and deliver outstanding presentations, videos, and infographics.
  • Explore new trends, understand consumers, and brainstorm ideas in workshops.
  • And finally… eat plenty of chocolate!

About you 

  • Excited by the prospect of working in a dynamic and creative environment.
  • Always searching for opportunities to grow and develop.
  • Curious and creative, with a passion for exploring new ideas and ways of working.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign)
  • Portfolio evidencing skills of Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 with a specific focus on PowerPoint.
  • Passionate about design trends, photography, typography & colour theory.
