NATS is the UK’s leading Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP). Every year we handle 2.6 million flights and keep 250 million passengers safe whilst in UK airspace. What will the Employee Communications Industrial Placement Scheme involve?
This is a one year scheme available to undergraduate students who are keen to gain industry insight during their penultimate year of university. It is based at our Head Office in Whiteley (Hampshire) however we have adopted ‘agile working’ which will enable you, where possible, to have the opportunity and flexibility to work in our modern office facilities as well as at home.
Our Employee Communications team is part of our Corporate Communications team, which includes marketing, media, digital, corporate affairs and international affairs.
During your placement you will be working with a passionate team of creative communicators who connect colleagues to our company strategy, objectives and core values, as well as creating a sense of belonging and understanding of how their role contributes to our purpose of advancing aviation, keeping the skies safe.
Your main focus will be supporting the team on
- Planning and coordinating communication and engagement activity in line with the Employee Communications Strategy.
- Developing business area and project communication plans.
- Designing, developing and publishing content across a range of internal channels.
- Providing communication advice to key communicators/functions, helping to inform their decision making and enhance their communication capabilities.
- Event management and promotion, including in person marketplace activities and promotional stands at our centres.
- Delivering cross function communications plans, to ensure key messages and activities are aligned, and opportunities shared.
- Ensuring the NATS brand is implemented correctly and consistently across employee communications channels and materials.
