Product Control is responsible for delivering the daily performance data, profit & loss (P&L) reporting and  commentary, and monitoring of trade activity in the front office. As a product controller, you will work with the front office, traders, risk and valuation teams to develop in-depth product knowledge covering a wide range of products including Interest Rates, FX, Credit, Equity and Hybrids.

What to expect

Our ten week Summer Internship Programme is designed to provide you with a unique insight into investment banking.  Starting off with technical training, you’ll gain a deep understanding of our products and markets. Then armed with this knowledge, you will have the opportunity to join Product Control. 

Product Control plays a key role in both supporting and controlling the revenue generating functions of the business.  The department’s key responsibilities include:

  • P&L reporting, attribution and commentary
  • Independent price verification
  • Reserving methodologies, including provisions, valuation adjustments and prudential capital reserves
  • Ensuring the correct controls and processes are in place to manage new and existing products

As part of a select intake, you will learn from some of the best professionals in the industry and will be allocated a buddy to make sure you have the support to get the most out of the summer internship.

Our Summer Internship Programme acts as a pipeline for our full time Analyst programme and a successful summer intern may receive an offer to join our full time Analyst Programme the following year.
