Skills and competencies
- You must be able to write competently for a professional audience and be able to describe complex systems in plain language.
- You must be able to understand mental models of how software end users access help content related to applications.
- You are familiar with following style guides and able to implement their advice in your writing.
- Desired, but not required, are experience writing technical content for a SaaS or Fintech audience, and experience in HTML/CSS.
- Basic knowledge of how APIs work is desired in order to identify required data fields and determine the best way to test data provider configurations.
Education
- You must currently be enrolled at university
- You should have a background in the English language or Computer Sciences.
- You must be a native speaker of English or can speak and writer at CEF level 1 or higher.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for updating our library of legacy data provider topics. Data providers are the data sources that a platform user will use to run checks and other due diligence tasks, for example, Moody's Orbis or Onfido.
Working with the support of the UX and Content teams, you will assist with interviews, record responses, and translate those responses into actionable content improvements that can be applied to our help site and published for a wide audience.
About the team
You will be a Technical Writer on the Content team under UX. You will also work closely with stakeholders across the business, including the Product, Design, Engineering, Support, and Success teams.
