Skills and competencies

  • A solid foundation in mathematics is essential.
  • A good understanding of financial and accounting mathematics is preferred.
  • Facility with MS Excel is essential.
  • Ability to write code (VBA, Python and/or SQL) is preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English is essential.
  • Fluency in a continental European language is desired.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, finance or similarly numerate program.
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate studies program in finance or related field.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be to support the Moody’s customer success team in delivering our suite of structured finance products. Structured finance is a highly specialized domain in banking providing an essential service for certain types of issuers of debt wishing to raise funding. Over the course of your internship you will gain a solid understanding of what a structured finance transaction is and how to analyze its key features.

About the team

The EMEA customer success team based in London consists of 7 professionals serving clients across Europe consisting primarily of banks and asset managers. Our services include a universal database of structured finance transactions, cash flow analytics models, bespoke financial models and issuer workflow solutions.
