Mitie are currently recruiting for a Graduate BIM Coordinator to join our team to work on exciting BIM projects and Digital Construction initiatives across a variety of Projects!

You will play a crucial role in facilitating the effective implementation of BIM methodologies within the organisation. The successful applicant would work on exciting BIM projects and Digital Construction initiatives across our Projects business with the end goal of becoming Assistant BIM Manager.

Role responsibilities

  • Coordination of BIM, Digital Construction and Digital Design implementation efforts across departments, projects, and teams, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and standards.
  • Development and maintenance of BIM execution plans, protocols, and workflows in accordance with project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Preparation of BIM documentation such as the Project File Naming, Standards, Design Responsibility Matrix aligned with ISO 19560.
  • Support the creation, management, and quality control of BIM models, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to integrate BIM processes into project workflows and deliverables.
  • Providing technical support and training to project teams on BIM software applications, tools, and methodologies.
  • Facilitation of clash detection and resolution processes to identify and mitigate design conflicts and coordination issues.
  • Management of exchange and coordination of BIM data and information with external partners and subcontractors.
  • Monitoring of project progress and performance metrics related to BIM implementation, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Assist in the development of BIM content libraries, templates, and standards to support consistent and efficient project delivery.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management related subject, with a focus on BIM & Digital Construction.
  • An active interest in BIM coordination and related digital tools and processes within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in design authoring software platforms such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and/or Bentley Systems software (desirable).
  • Awareness of BIM methodologies, standards (e.g. ISO 19650), and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies is preferred.
  • Ability to work towards certification in BIM-related technologies or methodologies (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, BSI BIM Professional etc).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage tasks with guidance.
