As a Transfer Pricing Intern, you’ll experience the power of collaboration as you work with diverse teams on real projects. Start by learning the fundamentals, including:
- Research and Economic Analysis: The intern will conduct research on transfer pricing regulations and guidelines in various jurisdictions as well as economic analysis using different databases to establish the arm’s length price of intercompany transactions for multinational enterprises.
- Financial Modelling: The intern will assist in preparing transfer pricing calculations, economic and financial modelling and documentation for intercompany transactions for multinational groups.
- Interviews with senior management: The intern will participate with other members of the team in interviews with senior management from the client to understand how multinational enterprises create value in their own businesses.
- Communication and Collaboration: The intern will coordinate with cross-functional teams, including tax, finance, legal, and operations, as well as colleagues in our Baker Tilly international network across various jurisdictions.
- Negotiating with tax authorities: The intern will have the opportunity in participating in the negotiation with tax authorities in transfer pricing audits and defending clients against challenges from the tax authorities.
Entry Requirements
We do not require interns to have a business or financial background. However, we do ask that applicants for our internship programme have at least 112 UCAS points at A-level, or equivalent, all achieved during the same exam year and excluding General Studies, plus achieved at least a 2:1 degree in any discipline.
