Join one of the UK’s most renowned retailers in our Visual Merchandising department as a VM Co-ordinator.
As one of our VM Co-ordinators, you’ll work with the Visual Merchandiser to support the in-store strategy for your individual product category, in line with the creative direction and focus of the Visual Brand Strategy.
Your responsibilities will include
- Deliver exciting and inspirational customer focussed Visual merchandising guides, for store and customer communication, in line with the critical path to support the trading and marketing plan.
- Maintain the Model Store process by taking creative and inspiring visual guidance from the Visual Merchandiser and delivering a positive and innovative brand image.
- Work closely with the Trading teams to understand the product selection for all VM communications and how these choices support our commercial goals and the delivery of the critical path.
- Follow a robust review and feedback process on improvements to the Creative VM principles that support the Brand, Commercial and Retail teams as well as the end to end Mock Shop to Model Store Process.
- Produce competition insight reports by visiting Matalan stores and competitors to understand all trends, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of all decisions whilst keeping ahead of the market innovation.
About you
- Relevant degree with a 2:1 classification or above and/or equivalent experience in one of the following areas
- Visual merchandising
- Interior design
- Fashion styling
- Fashion design
- Experience in writing visual communications
- Experience of creating displays or installations, in commercial or fashion creative spaces
- Large format fashion retail experience
- Creative and commercially minded with excellent brand awareness
- A thorough understanding of the end to end Visual Merchandising process
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
- Experience using Microsoft packages and Photoshop
