This is a fixed term appointment for 7 months and is full time.
The Centre For Macroeconomics (CFM) is a research centre bringing together world class experts to carry out pioneering research on the global economic crisis and help design policies to alleviate it.
This pre-doctoral fellow will be a highly-skilled and motivated individual. The job will entail close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing projects on a broad range of topics on a broad range of topics in applied macroeconomics: measurement of inflation expectations, the study of unconventional monetary policies, fiscal policy, the study of inequality within macroeconomics models, understanding the root causes of financial crises, and the impact of automation on inequality. These issues are tackled with a mix of theoretical and empirical work (using both micro and macro data).
Candidates should have
- By the post start date, a completed Bachelor’s, Master’s degree, or equivalent qualifications, with substantial quantitative work
- A strong quantitative background
- Experience with programming languages, in particular: Matlab, Python or Julia
- Experience with statistical software, in particular: R or Stata
