Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for Finance Interns to join us in our Global Commercial HQ based in London.

Summary

We are looking for two motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support our Head of Accounting and finance team in various key tasks. This internship will be until the end of March 2025 and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance, particularly in revenue recognition and year-end closing processes.

What you'll do

  • Supporting the Head of Accounting in ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition, which significantly impacts financial statements.
  • Gaining a solid understanding of revenue accounting standards and assisting in the application of these standards.
  • Facilitating communication between the sales and finance teams to ensure smooth processes.
  • Reviewing the validity of accounting journal entries (JEs) in line with revenue standards.
  • Checking the completeness and accuracy of sales evidence documentation.
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing tasks, including revenue confirmation, cut-off analysis, and accuracy of accounting entries.
  • Supporting the finance team with other temporary tasks during the year-end closing process.

What you'll bring

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree (or currently studying) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with different teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak times such as year-end closing.

Additional information

This role will be working from our London Global Commercial HQ. This role will be Hybrid working, however there will be an expectancy to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the London office - EC1V
