About the position
We're now looking for an Events Assistant to join the Lockton Marketing team! The successful individual will be responsible for the support and delivery of a diverse range of external and internal events, partnering with stakeholders across our business.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting the Marketing team with a high number of events, ranging from small meetings to award ceremonies
- Accompanying the Senior Events Manager to both internal and external events
- Supporting with events on the day, including directing event set-up, ensuring all facilities/equipment are in place and effective, welcoming guests, organising vendors, ensuring events run to schedule and any trouble shooting if required
- Promoting events across all social media platforms
Supporting the Senior Events Manager with logistical and administrative support for all events, (but not limited to):
- venue selection, invitations, seating/space planning, logistics, décor, catering and entertainment, audio and visual equipment, supplier management and feedback
- Maintaining records of all bookings e.g. venue and catering and taking payments where necessary
- Assisting with creative decisions
- Attending meetings to act as a second point of contact Helping set up and dismantle events efficiently through to completion
- Ensuring all branded items are to a high standard and arrive on time and budget for events.
- Collaborating with our internal Comms team, in-house creative team (and external suppliers when needed), and marketing team to develop high-quality event content internally and externally
- Deliver continuous improvement, providing recommendations to improve future events based on feedback and evaluation
- Working with the Senior Events Manager to deliver all events within budget and in a cost-effective way
