The role of IT Intern is to serve as a primary point of contact for all IT requirements in L’Occitane En Provence - covering Retail, Warehouse and Corporate locations across the UK and Ireland.
You will provide support, maintenance, and installation of key IT systems taking ownership of end user requests, resolving problems, installing hardware & software solutions, and supporting the EU service desk, and take leadership on locally assigned incidents.
Tasks include end user support, warranty repairs, and maintenance of equipment, upgrades and configurations. Every day is different and there will be plenty to keep you interested, and help you grow your own skills and experience.
Key responsibilities
- To be the main point of contact for all UK & Ireland business as usual topics, and provide 1st and 2nd line support to all stakeholders
- To support on deliverables for key local projects for UK & Ireland (such as preparing hardware, on-site interventions, and preparations) as outlined by the Senior IT Officer
- Support on admin responsibilities such as hardware maintenance, recycling of hardware adhering to WEEE standards, and recycling as part of our commitments to sustainability and re-use and recycling initiatives. As well as procurement and maintaining relationships with key suppliers
- Provide on-site and remote support for the Company’s Hardware (Desktops, Laptops, ePOS systems, printers, servers, mobile phones)
- Receive, manage, and record IT service desk incidents across multiple channels
- Provide friendly and efficient 1stnd and 2nd line support to all users in the business, ensuring high levels of performance against SLA metrics
- Ensure that adequate training materials are in place and up to date for all users. Escalate service requests to the global 2nd and 3rd line teams and solve local issues where possible
- Installation, configuration, and support of software, hardware using Microsoft System Centre (MECM) and Microsoft Intune
- Provide support for in-house and external software including: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Windows, Cegid, SharePoint, SAP, iOS, Adobe Suites
- Ensure that all tasks comply with the group’s security policies
- Any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by the line manager or Head of Department

- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused attitude putting the end-user needs first
- Lead by example, and provide a strong and stable support to end users, and support the IT Officer and Senior IT Officer
- Have a good foundation, knowledge and experience of IT systems, processes and procedures
- Stay current with the latest technology advancements and a passion and willingness to learn
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritise tasks
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to talk about technology in simple terms
- Able to work independently, be driven, motivated and take ownership and be responsible
- An excellent problem solver with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrates and acts as a role model for the companies group values and behaviours
