Lloyds Banking Group is undergoing one of the largest transformation programmes in Europe and as the Group transforms, so must how we communicate and engage with our colleagues.
The Colleague Communication & Experience team is a centre of excellence to rethink how best we support both the strategic business delivery and cultural transformation through simpler, more targeted and consistent end to end colleague communications and experiences.

What you’ll learn
The internal communications landscape is going through a massive transformation, in particular as it embraces the opportunities that technology can bring. We want to ensure that we’re at the forefront of technological advances and that we make the most of these opportunities through colleague experiences, whether online, in person or hybrid.
The industrial placement will play a key role in a small team who provide dedicated event support across the end-to-end event management oversight and delivery of events as a key part of our best-in-class communications to our internal audiences.
The work you could be doing
- Being a core part of the team who support and deliver event management and delivery support for large scale and high-profile internal events, including those led by of our Group Chief Executive and our all-colleague broadcasts.
- Assists the team with the end-to-end design and delivery of events in-line with our events strategy.
- Assists the team with event administration including the monitoring of the group events inbox.
- Work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders – developing an internal network to help to get things done as well building relationships with external stakeholders.
- Helps to curate feedback and uses this data to identify trends and make recommendations to help enhance the value and the impact of events.
- Build a greater understanding of our internal hub spaces and our in-house event technology capabilities to support event decisions.
- Represent and support the Event Team onsite at a range of group events.
We want to make sure you get the most out of your placement, so we'll provide you with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You'll have access to training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one mentoring. Plus, you'll get to attend team meetings and see how we tackle challenges and come up with solutions.
Requirements
What you need to apply
- Part of a sandwich degree course with a 12-month industrial placement in your third year.
- Strong knowledge of event trends and developments in technology to support virtual, hybrid and in-person events.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- A passion for learning.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment by efficiently juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing daily demands.
