Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a Content Editor to join our Studio Edit Team within our Entertainment Department - Is this your next opportunity?
As a Content Editor, you will be responsible for editing, clipping, and splicing video content and associated assets for social media platforms, ensuring compliance with platform-specific formats and conventions. This role involves creating static design elements, such as thumbnails, and applying motion design skills to optimise video content. You will also manage metadata, including titles, descriptions, and tags, in accordance with platform policies and guidelines, delivering content on schedule as set out by the Channel Manager.

How you'll spend your time
- Editing, clipping and splicing videos and associated assets for social media platforms
- Editing compilations and cut-downs to contain a narrative structure and match the appropriate tone of voice.
- Applying your knowledge of social media platforms conventions and appropriate video formats
- Utilising static design skills to produce episode thumbnails
- Utilising motion design skills to ensure video optimisation
- Using metadata, including titles, description and tags according to LDS guidance and platforms policies
- Delivering videos and associated assets to schedule as set out by Channel Manager
- Responding to elevated creative editorial briefs in a timely manner
What you need to succeed
Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.
Job-Specific Skills (Essential):
- Editing: Can handle more complex edits, including multi-layered sequences and basic effects.
- Knowledge of video editing software: Competent in most common features and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot common issues
- Knowledge of video use on social media platforms: Applies platform-specific video formatting and basic engagement strategies.
- Visual storytelling:Crafts engaging stories with effective use of visuals and pacing.
- Metadata utilisation: Can create basic metadata fields like titles and tags, following platforms best practices.
Essential core skills:
- Communication: Demonstrates foundational communication skills, conveying basic information with clarity and respect.
- Collaboration: Participates in team activities and performs assigned tasks with a positive attitude.
