We are offering a one-year Oncology Internship position to vets who have completed a rotating internship and wishing to advance their clinical training in Oncology. You will work within our oncology department which consists of a Diplomate and Oncology nurse.
Our oncology team works closely with the medicine team to ensure the best care for animals under their care. The Oncology intern is involved in the day to day running of the oncology service, including assessment of patient, responding to client queries, administering chemotherapy and working with the clinician ensuring that there is excellent communication between the nursing and veterinary teams.
You will have completed a rotating internship, have great people skills, love to work within a team, and have a passion for all things oncology! Paragon is a small, supportive and friendly team and, as a proactive member, we aim to provide a service of the highest possible standards in a busy, stimulating and supportive environment.
You will benefit from both a busy and dynamic clinical environment and formal training. Interns will participate in hospital rounds, journal and book clubs and you are encouraged to complete a small research project or audit. Weekend cover is based on a shared rota with other clinicians assuring a healthy work-life balance.
The successful candidate will be an MRCVS and have worked in small animal practice within the UK.
