We accept referrals in Anaesthesia, Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine Neurology and Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Physiotherapy and Soft Tissue Surgery.
We have comprehensive and established clinical and non-clinical programmes for training, development and CPD.
Your role and responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic nurse in our emergency and critical and care (ECC) Department, you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of nursing care for critical patients.
The role includes clinical nursing of patients hospitalised in our intensive care unit (ICU), as well as performing urgent triage of patients and assisting with initial stabilisation in our purpose build emergency receiving room. You will be working alongside ECC specialists and experienced nurses in a well- equipped department in a purpose built, state of the art ICU and Emergency Room.
This position offers the opportunity to utilise a variety of nursing skills, with a small amount of clint base integration. The role will suit someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment. The suitable candidate should be willing to learn and develop their knowledge in a referral setting, previous referral experience is preferred. We have a very supportive team, and we encourage further ECC training and other future opportunities that are available at DWR ,to be a Clinical Supervisor/Mentor, Buddy or to take on a Championship role.
Our nurses take pride in providing excellent patient care, nursing at DWR is demanding and it can be busy, but it is an incredibly rewarding job!
Please note this is a full-time position, working on a rota of 40 hours per week between the hours of 06:30 and 18:30, Monday to Friday with 1:4 weekend rota working in ICU where TOIL is provided, participation in the Bank Holiday rota is also required.
