The role
Ligentia is looking for a finance professional to partner with our UK regional teams, which consists of various functions and branches right across the UK. A key focus will be on developing strong business partnerships, providing guidance that enables data-driven decision making and drives the performance management and performance improvement agenda.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and commentary for management submission.
- Perform balance sheet reviews ensuring that reconciliations are accurate, and any issues are dealt with promptly.
- Work closely with the AR/AP teams to understand P&L and balance sheet transactions and improve the month end variance analysis process.
- Support in the development and management of a Finance Assistant.
- Ensuring clear processes and governance in place across business area and throughout the finance department.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and quarterly re-forecasts.
- Support of the Group Finance Team providing information for Tax Audits, ESG reporting etc.
- Review of VAT Returns, PSA submissions.
Key skills & experience required
This role will ideally suit a newly/recently qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), but consideration will also be given to part-qualified individuals who present the right collaborative mindset to succeed within our organisation. In addition, you’ll need:
- Experience of reporting complex financial data to non-finance managers.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- A sound knowledge of current accounting practices and processes.
