The role

Ligentia is looking for a finance professional to partner with our UK regional teams, which consists of various functions and branches right across the UK. A key focus will be on developing strong business partnerships, providing guidance that enables data-driven decision making and drives the performance management and performance improvement agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and commentary for management submission.
  • Perform balance sheet reviews ensuring that reconciliations are accurate, and any issues are dealt with promptly.
  • Work closely with the AR/AP teams to understand P&L and balance sheet transactions and improve the month end variance analysis process.
  • Support in the development and management of a Finance Assistant.
  • Ensuring clear processes and governance in place across business area and throughout the finance department.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process and quarterly re-forecasts.
  • Support of the Group Finance Team providing information for Tax Audits, ESG reporting etc.
  • Review of VAT Returns, PSA submissions.

Key skills & experience required

This role will ideally suit a newly/recently qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), but consideration will also be given to part-qualified individuals who present the right collaborative mindset to succeed within our organisation. In addition, you’ll need:

  • Experience of reporting complex financial data to non-finance managers.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • A sound knowledge of current accounting practices and processes.

We offer a hybrid working environment, requiring on average 3 days per week in our Pudsey office for collaboration and team meetings. This balance ensures you have the flexibility to work remotely while staying connected with your colleagues.
