The role

We have an opportunity for a highly organised and detailed oriented “Compliance Analyst” to join our London office Compliance & Legal function. 

Working within the Compliance Team (“Compliance”), you will be making sure that Langham Hall meets its legal and regulatory obligations. The role encompasses compliance advisory, monitoring, research and drafting, designed to ensure that Langham Hall fulfils the requirements of the FCA Handbook. You will be part of the team that defends Langham Hall’s reputation. 

You will be required to assess all the information and documentation provided to ensure it meets all the required criteria from a Langham Hall and regulatory perspective. 

The successful candidate does not need to have any experience but should have a genuine interest in the subject and a willingness to learn.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the promotion of a positive ‘compliance culture’ 
  • Assist with advice on the Rules associated with the Firm’s current and proposed business activities 
  • Assist with the establishment, update and advisory on written policies, procedures and guidelines 
  • Undertake reviews as part of the compliance monitoring programme
  • Identify and/or coordinate and review information on compliance-related issues (e.g., breach of regulations, client complaints, risk events) 
  • Assist with the monitoring of relevant regulatory change developments and issue updates to the business in a timely manner
  • Assist in the distribution and tracking of the firms controls report and other important documents
  • Assist with the making of regulatory submissions within the FCA deadlines 
  • In addition to the duties listed above, the individual may be required to perform other ad-hoc duties or projects as requested and as experience is gained.

  • Be able to provide detailed and analytical analyses of risks posed to the business;
  • Be able to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy and quality standards;
  • Be able to demonstrate integrity in all tasks and functions performed;
  • Have good interpersonal, organisational and written / oral communication skills; 
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access and the ability and keenness to use online screening tools; 
  • Have an ability to accurately present information (both verbally and in writing) and respond to questions from the business;
  • Education to Undergraduate level with at least a 2:1
