Global Internship Program

As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business and Sales - and are Inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. In addition to department work, we support your professional development and career exploration through program workshops, leadership speakers, employee resource group introductions, new hire panel discussions and small group “coffee chats”.

About the Team

In the Department of Ecotoxicology, we conduct GLP compliant studies that assess potential environmental effects of agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and industrial chemicals in the aquatic and terrestrial environment.

Internship Assignment Summary:

  • Conduct experimental aspects of studies to high scientific standards and in compliance with GLP
  • Maintain the Aquatic Ecotoxicology facility in accordance with Company standards
  • Assist Study Directors to ensure study data and reports are delivered to clients on time
  • Ensure adequate supplies of stock items and organisms are maintained for study conduct
  • Develop a working knowledge of study types conducted within the work area and perform experimental tasks according to study plans, test guidelines and SOPs
  • Assist with the evaluation, validation and introduction of new study types or techniques as requested.

Education/Qualifications/Skills

  • Working towards bachelor’s degree in an Environmental Science discipline
  • Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues
  • Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership
