As a Geotechnical Site Technician, you will work closely with the wider team and the majority of the workload will consist of travelling and working on construction sites.

We deliver testing services to our clients mainly around the Midlands area providing them with high quality test data to ensure compliance with relevant standards. About the role

  • Maintaining competency/authorisation for the necessary range of test procedures
  • Carry out geotechnical testing in accordance with current (documented) procedures to high (quality) standards
  • Ensure equipment is in current calibration and pre-test checks are completed
  • Ensure that test equipment is checked regularly and functioning correctly, and that any failures, defects, or damages are reported via current systems
  • Use and maintain equipment with all due care and ensure that weekly checks are carried out
  • Ensure that all necessary test information, results, and QC data are recorded in the manner required by current procedures
  • Maintain good site working practice at all times

Do you have what it takes

  • Knowledge and experience of site and lab-based geotechnical test methods
  • The ability to support training and development of other technicians on fundamental tests
  • Support on fundamental calibration of test equipment
  • Motivated and focussed, with a positive outlook/approach
  • Be flexible – some overtime and possible weekend work applies to the role
  • Be able to work with a varied workload
  • Communication is key for this role; you will be able to make an impact and work well within a team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence

  • £25,389 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
