As a Creative Intern at King, you can either get involved with our Level Design teams building games and inventing new ways to delight our massive audience of players, work with our UI Artists to create fun and beautiful experiences for millions of players to enjoy, or join our Game Design working creating amazing user experiences and entertainment.
The role
Our Level Designers create amazing user experience and entertainment for millions of players to enjoy on the go. They create interesting challenges for our huge player base and refine them thanks to peer reviews and data analyses. We are looking for creative and well organised talents, with an open mind to feedback and an appetite for iterations. Having an interest in working with data is a bonus. You will see your work go from concept to a live game!
Tech Art Opportunities in London
Our Tech Artists participate in building and evolving King’s internal game development framework and production pipeline, used to create games like Candy Crush Saga and King’s other list- topping games. You will work with developers and game artists on improving the game engine and editor features and concepts/mock- ups. You will also own production of smaller tools, Maya scripts and similar as well as investigate, use, validate and stress test our game production toolset from the art and tech art end- user perspective. We are looking for talents with script writing skills in Maya & Photoshop with knowledge of Python or Javascript. We will also value knowledge/experience with 3D game engines such as Unity, Unreal or similar and other languages such as C++ or Rust.
UI Art Intern Opportunities in London
Our UI Artists create fun, engaging and beautiful experiences for millions of players to enjoy. They bring their UX flows to life with visually appealing aesthetics (think beautiful colours and shapes) and collaborate with other teams to make our games a success. We are looking for creative talents with skills in User Interface Design for mobile games and the ability to create visually appealing art assets (e.g. menus, buttons, icons, animation, illustration). Knowledge of Adobe CS and Photoshop is a must, and successful candidates will show potential with a strong portfolio; a successful portfolio will demonstrate good icons, colour, shape, language and graphic design. Your work will be seen by millions around the world! This role is great for someone who is creative with a passion for games.
UX Researcher Opportunities in London
Our UX Researchers help game teams create a world- class experience by providing learnings about players - their behaviours, thoughts, interests, needs, pain points, frustrations and anything insightful of them as a gamer. As a member of the team, you will be part of the design, execution and analysis in both qualitative and quantitative research. Knowing our players is a great source to inform and identify opportunities for innovation, usability, accessibility and visual improvements to create great- looking games and products that people love to use.
About you
You should have a passion for games and the ability to work in a flexible and fluid environment, where the job will evolve over time.
