Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

KBR is designing and constructing exciting projects at the forefront of the energy transition and traditional energy markets. We work on some of the biggest and most complex energy industry projects around the world and our teams are some of the best and brightest in the industry.

The role

We are seeking passionate and innovative Graduate Mechanical Engineers to join our dynamic Piping team. The piping engineering team is comprised of a number of engineering disciplines including Design and Layout, Stress and Supports, Piping Materials and Piping Management and Material Take Off (MTO).

The Design and Layout team are responsible for positioning all piping, equipment and other required infrastructure in the design of an energy plant / facility. Area layouts are developed considering safety, constructability, operability and maintenance of equipment and associated controls.

The Piping Mechanical group produce key project deliverables in order to specify the material of piping and valves, define the design basis standards and identify all design and fabrication requirements required for our associated construction yard build completion, in line with schedule.

You will develop knowledge to analyse major piping systems and become competent in the use of industry software. You will develop and continue to build on your knowledge of industry standards and KBR work methods.

What skills will you learn?

  • Oversight into what each engineering discipline does and how projects are delivered at KBR.
  • Develop knowledge of Piping Materials and Piping Stress and the key deliverables produced by Piping.
  • Mastery of Engineering Applications developed in-house and those used throughout the industry.
  • Learn piping requirements including the specifics when designing piping systems for different projects.
  • Develop technical skills and experience solving engineering problems.
  • Become familiar with the KBR WAY engineering standards and procedures as well as provide input to their development and enhancement.
  • Being part of a team and working towards project goals.
  • Be part of KBRs Digitalisation journey to help develop automated engineering solutions and support efficient delivery of projects.

What we’re looking for

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s preferred but not essential)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovative engineering solutions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction or Visa sponsorship
