What you will do
Our FM Systems team are looking for a driven, enthusiastic Trainee/Graduate Building Surveyor. You will be traveling nationwide to collect our client’s asset data, measuring their site plans and measuring their existing buildings. You will then feed this back to the Operations team. This is a field-based role which requires national travel and staying away during the week.

How you will do it
- Collect asset data, this could include room data, M&E, Fire data, furniture, suitability and condition.
- Work with CAD team to resolve queries should they arise to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Working nationwide, the job involves being away all week, every week. Visiting the office on occasionally to drop off the weeks work and collect the next weeks. Travelling long distance and Sunday travel will be required sometimes so work can begin first thing on Monday.
- Measuring simple site plans using existing OS data.
- Measuring existing buildings with the use of a Leica Disto/BLK2Go. This could be updating existing plans or starting from a clean sheet.
- Mainly working in public sector buildings, from schools and hospitals to theatres and shops.
What we look for
- Willingness to travel nationwide for projects as well as staying away overnight during the week
- Hands on experience with building surveying/measurement
- Degree or college background in quantity surveying, building surveying, construction, engineering and/or design.
- Knowledge of measuring elevations and topographical surveys using a total station would be of advantage. Experience with AutoCAD will also be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Ability to work on your own or in a team environment
